Amy maintains a client base of small businesses, non-profits, and individuals representing diverse industries. She evaluates individual needs of clients to find creative solutions tailored to their specific technology requirements. She instructs clients on how to use and operate their technology. Diagnoses and repairs hardware and software issues in a variety of environments. Most importantly, Amy has unique skills to relate and train people in an enjoyable, patient, and professional manner.
Some of Amy's work experience:
For over 11 years, Amy was the Information Technology Director for the BRS Group. Her work experience focused around the acquisition and installation of equipment and networks, and training personnel to use these updated technologies. Amy's job included anticipating technology needs, researching new technologies, and integrating them into the company in a seamless work stream. Since BRS is a marketing research company, Amy became an expert Final Cut Pro video-editor and produced highlight videos, small story lines, and stand-out clips for top brand research projects.
Amy has been consulting with the Asian Women’s Shelter for the past 2.5 years. At this domestic violence shelter Amy has effectively created a practical office technology plan. She has also employed secure upgrades to enhance office systems and networks in both hardware and software. Amy has functioned closely with staff to support and troubleshoot all technical and security needs.
Before becoming the Information Technology Director for the BRS Group in the Bay Area, Amy was the Web and Database Administrator for the New York City Office of the BRS Group for 7 years. In this position, she developed a dynamic, secure, relational database used in six offices countrywide. She was also tasked to develop, maintain, and manage all domain, email and web hosting in-house services.
Beyond computer technology, Amy’s passions include her family, community-building, soccer, music, food, coffee and travel.
